Tata Portal is a Peruvian art director, 3D creator and metaverse architect with over 10 years of experience building phygital experiences at the intersection of art, technology and culture. His work spans virtual architecture, NFT art direction, immersive installations and digital fashion — exhibited and deployed across New York, Paris, Buenos Aires, Brasília, Taipei and Lima.
Career Highlights
- Built the virtual Gagosian Gallery New York (976 & 980 Madison Ave) for Takashi Murakami's An Arrow Through History (2022) — Gagosian's first-ever VR experience — via Oncyber
- Created the metaverse experience for Lablaco at Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées, Paris
- Art directed Pride@NFTea — a 304-NFT collection in collaboration with Meta and Taiwan Tongzhi Hotline Association for Taiwan Pride
- Participated in Resonancias Paralelas at Centro Cultural Kirchner, Buenos Aires
- Designed and built the VR 360° experience for LAB Metaverse, Universidad Católica de Brasília, preserving ancestral narratives of the Yawanawá, Pataxó and Tukano indigenous peoples of Brazil
